Hello, I'm Jimia!

For seven years, I have been a contributor to the financial education industry. My accomplishments include published works, board and committee seats, program development, state and national awards and recognition. I have a gift for tailoring information to my audience’s level regardless of age or financial background. An elementary student gave me the title of “The Girl with the Penny Book” after I visited his class to talk about money. His title has since become my author persona. In addition to being a children’s book author, I am an Accredited Financial Counselor®. I am the founder and owner of Provision where I strive to be a community resource for financial education. When I'm not discussing financial matters, I enjoy dancing, cooking, painting and crafts, and sharing my home with youth in foster care.
